Appearance and themes

Make the popup and the Subbook page look the way you like: dark mode, text size, colors, themes and fonts.

All of this lives in the popup's Settings tab. Most options change both the popup and the Subbook page, so they always match.

Quick switches

SettingWhat it does
Dark modeA dark version of the popup and the Subbook page.
Text size (Subbook page)A five-step slider centered on Normal: two steps smaller, two larger. Only the Subbook page changes.
Accent colorSixteen presets in rainbow order. The accent colors buttons, highlights, and the lines between the Subbook table's cells.

The site's own top banner (“Employee Applications”) always stays its default color, whatever you choose.

Themes

Open Settings → Themes & scenes. A theme sets the background, text color, accent and font in one tap, on the popup and the Subbook page.

Advanced customization

For full control, press Advanced Customization on the Themes & scenes screen (or the row in Settings). It has three color pickers and a font list:

  • Background, Text and Accent: each has a saturation/brightness square, a hue strip and a hex box. Type a hex code like #DB4A25 if you know exactly what you want.
  • Font: Default (system), DM Sans, Space Grotesk, IBM Plex Sans, Fraunces, Bricolage Grotesque, Lora (bundled), plus Georgia, Times New Roman, Verdana, Tahoma, Trebuchet MS, Courier New and Comic Sans MS.
  • Reset colors & font puts everything back.

The text color also applies to the table's header row, including its sort links and buttons.

Improve visibility

If a pattern or backdrop makes the table hard to read, turn on Improve visibility (“Makes the table plain and easier to read”). It forces the table back to plain and opaque, and works alongside any scene, theme or dark mode. It's on the Themes & scenes screen and on each scene's settings page.

Resetting

Settings → Data & reset → Reset all settings sends dark mode, text size, colors, font, theme and scene effects back to defaults. Your shifts, calendar link and availability stay.

Tip
Next: Scenes add a whole animated backdrop behind the Subbook page.
