Review

Bettersubbook never saves a shift without asking. Review is where you say yes, no, or “change this first”.

Open the Review tab (it shows a count when there's something waiting). If it's empty it says “Nothing to review”. Items in Review came from a scan, an import or a calendar link. They're candidates, not shifts, until you approve them.

Two kinds of cards

GroupWhat's in itHow you handle it
Looks like shiftsRepeating shifts, stacked into one card with a Permanent badge. One decision for the whole series. Approve all approves every ready stack at once.
Probably not shiftsOne-off events that aren't part of a weekly pattern. Bettersubbook is less sure about these, so they're listed separately.Approve or Skip each. Skip all clears the group.

Approving a repeating shift

  1. Check the role and locationEach stack has Role and Location dropdowns. Anything Bettersubbook couldn't guess says Needs location. The Approve button stays disabled until both are chosen (inservices only need a role).
  2. Look at the datesThe card shows the weekday, hours and the date range. Press Show dates to see every occurrence.
  3. Fix the day or time if neededThe pencil in the card's corner edits the weekday and hours for every date in the series at once.
  4. ApprovePress Approve N shifts. Each date is saved as its own independent shift, so you can drop a single week later.

Approving a one-off

Pick the Role and Location (if they're missing), optionally use Edit date & time, then press Approve or Skip.

Skipping

  • Skipping is remembered: “Skipped events won't come back on the next scan.”
  • A skipped event goes back to counting as busy time, since it was probably a class or another job.
  • Skipped shifts are matched by date and hours, so the same shift in another file stays skipped.

Clearing everything

The ⋯ menu has Clear all shifts with a confirmation: “Nothing gets saved as a shift. Anything still on your calendar reappears on the next scan.”

Undo

Approving and skipping both show an Undo toast (“Approved 12 shifts”, “Skipped 3 events”).

Tip
Review is quick if you start with Looks like shifts. Approving a stack of a dozen weekly shifts is one tap.
