Autofill
Turn a saved shift into a filled-in Add Request form in one press. You stay in charge of Submit.
Using it
- Be signed in to SubbookOpen the Subbook site in your browser and sign in as usual.
- Press AutofillIn the popup, press Autofill request on the Next up card, or Autofill on any shift row.
- Check the confirmationBettersubbook takes your current tab to the Add Request page (it never opens a new tab), waits for it to load, then shows a box listing exactly what it's about to enter.
- Press Fill fieldsThe date, time, position and location are entered. Press Cancel instead and nothing is touched.
- Check and submitLook the form over and press the site's own Submit button.
How it chooses the department and position
Subbook has two departments sharing the same pages. Bettersubbook maps your shift's role like this:
| Your shift | Department | Filled as |
|---|---|---|
| LG | Aquatics | Guard |
| HLG | Aquatics | Head Guard |
| LTS | Learn to Swim | Instructor |
If the page is on the wrong department, Bettersubbook switches the department dropdown for you. It waits for the position options to update, then shows the confirmation. Because switching department makes the site jump to its main page, Bettersubbook returns to Add Request through the site's own navigation link. If a step reloads the page, the confirmation reappears afterwards.
What can't be autofilled
Inservices show Tracked only. They're on your Shifts tab for planning, but there's no request to submit.
If it doesn't fill
See Troubleshooting. In short: make sure the Subbook tab is open and signed in, reload it, and try again. If Subbook changes its page layout, autofill may pause until Bettersubbook updates. Please report it.
